Huy Celebrates Year 5 and $100,000 in Gifting to Iron House Circles
Huy celebrates two milestones: (1) the Native prisoner religious rights watchdog has turned 5 years old, and (2) the group has eclipsed $100,000 in gifting to Iron House Native religious circles in Washington State and elsewhere.Huy’s Board of Advisors is comprised of the following tribal leaders and advocates:
- Gabriel Galanda, Chairman, a member of the Round Valley Indian Tribes and Indian lawyer at Galanda Broadman, PLLC
- Francis Cullooyah, Vice Chairman, a Kalispel member and former Washington State Department of Corrections statewide “tribal chaplain”
- Winona Stevens, Secretary-Treasurer, a Ho Chunk member, with a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Washington, and founder of HEAL for Re-Entry
- Brian Cladoosby, Advisor, the Chairman of the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community and President of the National Congress of American Indians
- Frances Charles, Advisor, the Chairwoman of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe
- Claudia Kauffman, Advisor, a Nez Perce member and former Washington State Senator, who is now the Inter-Governmental Affairs Liaison for the Muckleshoot Tribe
- Eldon Vail, Advisor, a past Secretary of the Washington State Department of Corrections and prisoners’ rights consultant
- Minty LongEarth, Advisor, a Santee member also of Creek/Choctaw descent, and Community Engagement & Communications Specialist for the Seattle Community Police Commission
